Audio problem ACER Aspire One Netbook ZG5

Hello,

I was playing music in my netbook when suddenly the volume decreased. I thought I pressed the wrong keys but really, the sound volume just went down. I can barely hear anything and I have to use earphones at highest volumes just to hear something. What can I do before I go to the almighty repair shop?

I had same problem I bought a cheap usb sound adapter for a few dollars have to plug in earphones but it works
