Sims 3 cheat won't work!

hi, i did the whole testingcheats enabled thing and then when i went to shify click on the mail box it didn't do anything and i have tried this sevrel times could you please help me?!?

Did you type in testingCheatsenabled true ..... in exactly that way? cause i found just putting testingcheatsenabled doesnt work when it comes to using the mailbox, only little cheats like dragging relationships to full and increasing moods, hope it helps if not let me know
