In Excel 2007
Very basic formula but I think it is a bug.

A1 has first name; B1 has last name; C1 has Company Name and D1 has title

E1 =A1&" "&B1&", "&C1&", "&D1

Result shows formula. if I go to excel options and remove all check marks on formulas it will then work fine. Another day I remove all check marks first and then do the formula and it doesn't work. I really don't want to loose all the check marks I just want the formula to display the combined text. I know the formula is ok...its the stupid 2007 program... any fix?

Have you checked under

OFFICE BUTTON --> EXCEL OPTIONS --> ADVANCE

Under section "Display options for this worksheet", there is an option "Show formulas in cells instead of their calculated results". Make sure that it is not checked
