Itune error message

recently when i try and start itunes n my pc i get the following error message' cant open i tunes. dont have write access to dir'. but i do have write access.
any ides?

Dear Sir,

There might be some corrupted files causing the trouble. Please consider uninstaling it and reinstaling it.
