Conditional formating for date range

dear sir,

i want to make time sheet for each workers in thetime sheet first col is date range

i formated as sat 5/1, sun 5/2 like this in this i wanna hight lighted all friday in the selected range how i can do this pls help

Let say this date in in column A

then select column A
go to conditional formatting and enter this formula

=WEEKDAY(A1)=6
and click on the format button of the conditional format and choose color of your choice
