Missing operating system on old computer!

Hey...

i had to wait 3 months to get a new computer which i am on now with the new windows and everything but what happen to my old computer was...

everytime i start it up with the windows xp home edition cd in it the computer says PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT FROM CD.....MISSING OPERATING SYSTEM

what does that mean and is there anyway to fix that? cause i do want to give that computer to my oldest sister when she moves out

Hi there,

Insert windows installation cd and press any key as mentioned on screen and proceed with a formatting and instructions will be given on screen for procedures.
