click or copy and paste the following link in your browser
http://moneydance.com/download/2008/installers/moneydance_linux_x86wj.sh
then when its downloaded double click it
it should work
or you could try to open a terminal window/shell
and go to the folder where you downloaded the sh file
by ls (list of whats in the folder)
and cd by going in to the folder
when you are in the folder where you downloaded the sh file
type sh moneydance_linux_x86wj.sh
that should get you there
if it says you don't have the proper rights (or something similar)
type: sudo sh moneydance_linux_x86wj.sh
it may require you to enter your root password

hope this works for ya,

I have tried your process, First is clicking on the downloaded file: all it does is take some time (seconds) and then nothing. If i do the "sh moneydance_linux_x86wj.sh" from terminal in the same directory as the file, I still get nothing but the next line prompt reappears and some undoing of files has occurred. I have also tried doubleclicking on a tar.gz downloaded money dance file, it does expand but none of the created files seem to make it work.

I appreciate your attempts but I am getting the same thing. Nothing. I am trying to get moneydance support to give me more info but it is like hitting a brick wall. So if anyone out there can help me get this program downloaded and installed I would appreciate it.
