Error message NTLDR Missing

Hello,

I am using DELL Inspiron 6400 with windows XP.

While I am booting my machine it is displaying the error message NTLDR Missing

I do not have the backup of my data which lies in the E drive.

Please tell me how can i boot my machine without loosing my data.

Hello there,

Your problem is not that serious, in fact you can try to repair you windows OS by booting the windows XP installation CD-ROm, then choose repair windows instead of instal This will work definitively.

sir i try to boot into cd with my os but it doesnt run.still there an error.ntldr is missing

Same problem here even if i try to repair or install it won't let me... HELP Please

if u added memory recently try removing it again because this usually is a RAM pair problem so if you have more then 1 RAM card check to see if they are compatible with each other

NTLDR means that your BIOS is unable to find your copy of windows to load from your hard-drive. Check your boot sequence in your bios by pressing del at start up which is just after POST. Make sure the hard-drive which has the OS installed on it is in your boot sequence somewhere, usually after a CD/DVD drive

mising of ntldr and win32 we should format computer. Because we cant open computer.but using sofwere as ERDcommander2005 we can easly solve this problemwithout format. this softwere c d is operate by cd room. this cd show two part as our computer hd and this cd. we can copy missing thing from cd andcopy on our hd. after restarting computer it is opend .
