How to change the date format in Excel 2007

Hello,

i want to know that howcan I change the dateformat in
excel 2007 worksheet if I want it like :-

monday,1dec.2008

plz. answer me soon.

1. Select a cell to be formatted I specific date format.
2. Right click and choose "Format Cells...".
3. In the "Number" tab select "Custom" and type the format you want. For example: dd.mm.yyyy
4. Click "OK" button.

Step 3 is applicable if date formats provided by default are not what you want.

In most cases following will work fine:

In the "Number" tab select "Date" and from "Types" list select the most applicable one.
