How to install codecs for Gom Player

Hello,

When playing a file using gom player, I get a message that I dont have the nessecary codec.
So I hit the FIND CODEC button to download the codec.
Now I have downloaded a file with the extension .download and I have no idea what to do with it.

Can someone advise?

Finally I figured it out. You have to change the extention to .exe

Hi there,

Redownload it,if get same file then copy it it player folder.

Thanks for your reply.

I tried both things. Redownloaded it 2 times and put it in playerfolder. But GOM player keeps asking for codec and still doesn't play the file correctly.

Anymore suggestion?

just download file and install in the default directory
