Someone help! My dvd/cd drive isn't recognized. I know it works, but for some reason I can't locate it on the device driver. I think I may have accidentally uninstalled the driver and need to reinstall the driver but I don't know where to find the download. I have an HP pavillion entertainment pc dv 2000 series. It is running windows vista home premium. Can anyone help?

Hello,

First check in your BIOS whether your drive is detected or not, then follow the

below instructions.

Click on Start --> Run--> type regedt32 and click on ok

"Registry Editor" will be opened.

At the left side expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE---->SYSTEM --->CurrentControlSet

-->Control --->Class --->click on {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

At the right side if you find upperfilter, lowerfilter,upperfilter.bak, lowerfilter.bak,

just delete them

Restart your pc.

Good Luck.
