Sony vaio wireless capability

Hello, i cannot connect to the internet wirelessly. when i boot my computer the wireless light at the front is on then when it has fully booted it switches off and i cannot connect to the internet. i tried running the 'diagnose problems' fuction and it says my wireless switch is off, which it definitely isn't.
Any ideas please?

try pulling off the back near the memory and reseat the wireless card. that should reset the wireless settings and give you internet. let me know if this does not work.
