New RAM but still get 1 long & 2 short beeps

I was getting one long and two short beeps on startup so I bought two new 512 mb ram cards and I still get the beeps. My motherboard has 4 ram slots so I tried moving the cards around in all the slots but no luck. I even tried just one card in each slot but still got the beeps. My computer has Windows XP, a Pentium 4 processor and 160 gig hard drive. Any ideas of a fix?

The memory frequency may not be compatible with your pc you must use same as before whatever the size,use cpuz ,get it downloaded using the link below:

hi
well usally the problem occurs when ur vga card has a prob, either loose contact, malfunction or needs upgrade. i recommend u to take it to a profeesional to do the needfull.
