Dell inspiron 6400 blank screen

Hello,


i have a dell inspiron 6400 with linux as a operating system. closed the system down without issue, then next day I switched the system on but have no power to the screen. can you help? or is a new screen needed? have taken the battery out and held power button down for 30 -60 seconds but the problem is still there. thanks!
