Laptop shuts down after 1 min when I boot

Hello,
When I want to boot my pc and insert cd and restart it takes a min and shut down.whats this problem and how It can be fixed.

Your battery may be down which needs to be connected with adapter and try again or your laptop is overheating for which Faq will guide you with instructions:
