Hard disk is not getting detected

Hello,


sir/mam,
My iomega hard disk is not getting detected in my pc which has windows xp .All the connections are correct and the led in the hard disk is glowing. So please help me with this problem.

This isn't exactly an answer, more a friendly arm around the shoulder. I had the same problem, luckily with everything backed up. I replaced the HD and carried on. Weeks later I had a go at formatting the dead HD and found it worked normally. So if you can't revive it, don't throw it.

our samsung external hard disk cannot recognise we acer laptop with windows xp the hard disk light is on but cannot be traceable in my computer
