How to install windows XP in compaq cq42

Hello,

I recently purchased a new laptop without OS. I am trying to install windows XP on it. It reads the scsi and raid drivers and all. But When it says "windows will start (something similar to this)" before showing the disk to select for the partition and install it gives me Unexpected internal error occured with the error code 0x0000007B....

Can anyone please help me.....?

Hi,

You are having this error since you have a sata hard disk and to fix it and be able to install xp as os on it follow these links and instructions from Faq:

I guess you will have issues for drivers also,here is the download link for them:
