Hello, 
my itunes store isnt working it comes up when i click on it; The item you've requested it not currently avaliable in the Australian Store

I'm having the same issue only it says, "Your request could not be completed.  The item you've requested is not currently available in the US store."  I looked in the control panel section like was mentioned, but the LAN was not checked like other people experienced.

The store is disabled in the parental settings.

Go to iTunes preferences, then Parental control and un tick the box.

I've had issues with the itunes store since September 2010 - now 29 Dec. 

The key to my problem (after doing everything else from every blog every week) was to update the display adaptors

For any one else - this was Windows Vista on a Dell inspiron, went to Start menu-> Settings-> Control Panel-> Device Manager -> Display Adaptors -> right click on ATI Radeon (in my case) and then "Update driver software" and let windows search the web
