Email will download, but will not open

Hello,
In the past few days my email has begun to download new messages, but will not allow me to open one. When I click on an email, the page dims. When I "X" out of the window the message says (Not responding). On rare occasion I can open one, maybe two email for 5-10 seconds, then it freezes again. Suggestions?

hi,
try to empty your Temporary Internet Files
try a disk cleanup: (Start menu > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools, then select Disk Cleanup)
try to drag the attachments to your desktop and try to open them from there.
