Hello, I"m a newbie here so bear with me please!
Couple days ago I had no problem using my Gateway laptop.
Before turning it off and going to sleep that night, it had no problem whatsoever.
THe next day I tried turning it on, my laptop won't turn on.
I tried the 30sec~1min method I've read from other threads, it did not work.
I tried bending the monitor all the way back as it can and trying to press power on while moving it towards the 90 degree angle, it did not work.
I really need my laptop for school work, and I don't know what to do :(
I would really appreciate some help here !!!
Thank you for your time and effort

Hello,

When you switch on your laptop, can you hear the fan running?

Unfortunately not. The 'full battery light' is turned on whenever I plug the cord in the laptop. Other than that, there's no sign of life at all....

Hello,

Try this:

Go to BIOS --> Make sure hard disk is detected in the BIOS -- > Set your first boot device as "Hard disk" --> Save the settings and exit from the BIOS.

Good Luck!

Can you tell me how to get to the BIOS?
My laptop is completely dead and won't even turn on at all. Will I need my laptop to run in order to get access to the BIOS?

Did you get your motherboard's brand name (like Gateway) when you switch on your laptop, If yes, you'll see the initial display screen to get into the BIOS at the bottom of your screen.
