Pc monitor displays no signal

Hello, my computer powers up, all fans are working properly, and to my knowledge all hardware has the correct wiring. my monitor displays no video signal, and i know the monitor works because i have tested it on two other pc's. how can i tell if the video card is bad or could it be the motherboard? by the way it is built in not interchangeable .
