Hello,

I have downloaded an ISO image for LInux.i copied it to a CD and was expecting the CD to run and take me to the Linux environment once i booted with it. Maybe someone should explain to me what i should do so that i am able to run this 'Live' CD. i am told it does not need to be installed. the files are loaded automatically and you can work as though the Linux is actually installed on the PC.

Thanks in advance.............

hi,

did you burn the image correctly ?
because you can't burn an image the
same way you burn files or music on a disc.

you need software that supports image burning.
like nero (but there are more just google for them ;) )

kind regards

just check whether u have burn't the cd properly....

there are also some cases if ur system config is old and ur are trying to boot a new latest edition of OS it may not support it...

but the later said was only in the case if u got some error saying that "the cd cannot boot" only or any other error messages..

all the best.....
