go to control panel-sound and audio devices-audio tab-make sure your default device points to sound card
or
open winamp, ctrl+p to open preferences
then click on output in plug ins
click on directsound output and then click on configure
then change the primary sound driver to you sound card
or
go to run and type
services.msc
search for windows audio service and start it
or
Go to run and type
devmgmt.msc
click on sound,audio and video controllers
select your sound driver,try to update it or rollback the driver
or
