How do i change date format in (dd.mm.yyyy)

Hello,

How do I change the date format from (dd/mm/yyyy) format to (dd.mm.yyyy) format?

And how can I get today's date in dot format (dd.mm.yyyy). If I use formula -->
=today() , it gives the date format in (dd/mm/yyyy).

Please Help.

select the date cell, Ctrl + 1 Date, Select the required date format...

go to format cells , number tab and select custom then type in dd.mm.yyyy
