Question

Hello, 

i was just installing some themes on my windows 7 . it asked to install some patcher nd then i rebooted my system. It started pretty much normally, i entered my password nd then a black screen is there with just the cursor. pressing ctr + alt + del , nd then starting explorer.exe from new tasks gives me an error beginbufferedpaint not found in the system library UXtheme.dll (something like this).

pls help....

Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 535.1

Hi. Try doing a system restore. To do this, do what you do to start explorer and run rstrui.exe. This is your system restore process. If this doesnt work or there is no restore point, then you gotta do a system recovery.

Only option is to  

Boot into safemode 

Go to run and type 

sfc /scannow and click ok 

This should automatically replace the patched uxtheme.dll with original one 

If that doesnt fix 

Just go to run and type 

cmd and click ok 

Now run these commands and press enter one by one 


cd\ 

dir /s /a uxtheme.dll 


Now you can see thatdifferent locations of the file 

You can see like this 


 Directory of C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-uxtheme_31bf3856ad364e35 
_6.1.7600.16385_none_01d98c7b2040a1b9

Just browse to this folder and copy the uxtheme.dll(normally 330 kb) to system32 folder and replace the corrupted file

Restart the PC 

This is simple process.If you are confused then do a system restore
