My Compaq laptop does not shutdown

Hello,

Recently, I have switched off to shutdown my laptop but when it shutdown it pop-up the configure system.. 1 of 1 configuration.. then i actually do is to wait to shutdown my computer but it takes so long that I realize it won't shutdown it takes whole night and it won't really shutdown the system..

What should i do to shutdown my laptop with no configuration says?..

By now you should have found the answer,anyway

Just remove and reinsert the battery

I did that!,, i removed the battery then i returned to insert it but it looks nothing's happened.. it stills won't shutdown and it configures.. :(

Unplug your AC cord,remove your battery,press the power button for a minute.Plug in the ac cord and power on the PC.If pc boots up then shutdown it again and insert the battery
