Hello,

i went through the topic
Windows 7 won't recognize XP PC in network [Solved/Closed]

did all of the steps still cant see my win XP via Win 7 laptop or vice versa..

just to mention, the network worked great for 5 days since i got th enew win 7 laptop and created the network.. i transferred around 60 GB of data on it.. the suddenly yesterday i could not see th ePCs.. the only thing i changed that could affect this was to uninstall the default mcaffe security.. so i have both PCs in the work network ID mode, same group name, they both have their pc name... rebooted .... chose the WORK option in win 7... still nothing.. wasted 6 hours reading different forums etc... its ridiculous..

please if some one can help.. thanks

Well the "mcaffe security" can and does cause this type of problem. I suggest you check the McAffe web site for a solution or remove McAffe.

Good Luck
