Hello Mike,
If you can hear the Windows' jingle, it means that the system booted properly.
Try first pressing alt+ctrl+del or booting in safemode, if you still get nothing, If so, there two possible issues.
1. Your graphic card is fried. To see if that is the problem, try connecting to an external monitor, if you can't see something then:
2. You backlights are fried and that can only be attended by a qualified technician.
