Request time out

Hello,

I have been experiencing request time out when i ping while using a router. I have tried direct connecting using a dial connection and have not experienced request time outs. So I assumed that the router was at cause but today I tried direct connecting and sharing my internet via wifi to my other computer only to check my ping, it still times out.

I am severely frustrated because I could not find any solutions not is my ISP of any help because they deny any problems in their end. I would like to know any possible solution and any cause I might have missed. Thank you!

Both computers run windows vista

It's a cd-r king router

It's a cd-r king wireless-N MIMO AP router (1t1r) LP-8616 i have narrowed the possible causes of time outs and the router wasn't 1 of them. This i am 100% sure as i am connected directly to my DSL and still get constant time outs no matter what site i ping. Thanks for the help

Hello,
Try this 1
1) Click on Start --> In search box, type ncpa.cpl and press Enter
"Network Connections" window will be opened.
Right click on your Wireless Network icon ---> Select "Properties" ---> Scroll down and double click on "Internet Protocol[TCP/IP]" .
Make sure that "Obtain IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" options are selected.
2) Shutdown your laptop and switch off your DSL. Now turn ON your DSL. After a while turn on your laptop.
