I am desperate free so hopefully someone can help me

My pc crashed and I don't know why, but ran a repair on startup, but didn't fixed the problem
Then I did system image restore from backup, which ran completely
Them I got a black screen after startup with only the mouse cursor
I can't get into the system at all but it seems if something has installed cos when I press the shift ket 5 times the window opens, but then pressing the keys doesnt take me further

I have windows 7 prof 32 bit

Hello,

Try this 1

1) When you switch ON your computer, start tapping the "F8" key to get

"Windows Advanced Options"( if boot menu appears, press "Esc" key and

keep tapping the F8 key)

2) Select the option "Last Known Good Configuration".

If the problem still exists then follow the step 1 and select the option "Safe Mode"

Let me know if you are able to boot into Safe Mode.

Good Luck

Thx Jack
This helped indeed
I was able to repair the system and it rebooted
thereafter it gave me the repair screen and i could do a system restore and now everything working perfectly
lost nothing
Much appreciated
