Hello,

every time i tried to open my flash drive via my computer, it gives me error saying
" incorrect function". ive tried using recovery programs but all have failed, they cant seem to detect my flash drive. i tried formatting my flash drive, given some of these recovery programs are able to recover files after format. that also failed got message " check disk connected properly/ not read only". it shows up in windows and also in disk management but with no partition.
please any info will help i just want to recover my research paper.

Hello Mxcats12,

Thank you for the info which shed some light on the issue.

Unfortunately, the Pny mini attaché 8gb is not a trusted and viable memory device and in a short time period they get easily damaged beyond repair. Sometimes, all that one needs to do it to disconnect without the proper method and it may get unserviceable.

They are not expensive, but they are a bunch of problems.

I suggest that you purchase such drives as Kingston or Transcend.

I wish I could help you further but I am afraid that your Pny is good for the dust bin.

Sorry
