Please try this fix from Microsoft:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2970908/how-to-use-microsoft-easy-fix-solutions
This tool from Microsoft automatically detects problem with the audio in Windows 7 and tries to fix them. If the problem still exists try to uninstall and then reinstall the audio drivers.
