Hello All,

I have a windows 7 HP laptop. The problem is that there is no sound from headphones, but sound comes from speakers. I went to 'control panel' then 'hardware and sound' then 'manage audio devices' and then to the 'playback' tab. Here I tried to set 'Independent Dual Headphones' as default, but am unable to.

Please help me out. Am I at the right place, or do need to do something else?. Thanks in Advance.

Hi indra87,

What happens when you try to use these headsets with another computer? Also, when you try to use another headset or speakers with this Laptop are they functional?

Please do write back to us.

Hi

When I use the headset for another laptop it works fine.

With my laptop the speakers are fine and when I use another set of headset, unable to hear from it.

Hi indra87,

You have mentioned the headsets work fine with other computers however any of the other headsets don't work with the laptop you can hear the sound from internal (in-built) speakers only. This indicates the problem is with the "Audio Ports" on the computer. "Audio Ports" can be integrated on the motherboard or they can be separate part. Kindly, get in touch with HP Support for further assistance.

Please reply if you have any further queries.

Thanks & Regards
Zohaib R
