Hello,
Hi all, im looking for any ideas, I cant get any sound on Toshiba Satellite p100-429 on vista starter, im getting no audio output device installed on bottom of the screen, speaker symbol has red x through it. I have tried all methods in device manager but keep getting error code 10 message, this was a clean install on new hard drive. For some reason the driver wont install. Would it have anything to do with the laptop being on XP media player edition before? any help would be really appreciated,

managed to fix it via toshiba support driver downloads, eventually installed conexant high definition audio drivers. Cant believe thats all it was
