Plz suggest simple steps to rectify my laptop's OS Windows XP SP2 Software counterfeit problem. on desktop background, it appears pure black. plz help me.

Hello,

There is only one way to rectify the matter. Your Windows version is a copy which was previously installed on another computer, it can only be installed on one computer. Hence, you must purchase a genuine Window's licence and install it on your machine. Windows made it this way and you must have had warnings.
