Unrecognized disk

Can't play online with my xbox keep getting this message unrecognized disk. But I can play single player story part of the games. Talked to the reps and they say its the games. I have 10 games and I know for a fact that all game disk are not bad. Then turned around and said they could fix it for $79.00! After saying it was the games. Dose anyone know what the deal is.

The discs are probaly damaged but only on some parts or if its an original xbox game and your trying to play it on 360 you need a hard drive
