I have been having problems when my Dell laptop for a while now. When I unplug the cable, it immediately shuts off. I had a friend look at it a little while ago. It helped, but this week it just started up again. It is extremely annoying, and I wish to fix it. My computer is a Dell and I'm currently using Windows 7.

Hang in there....

Make certain that your battery conditions set up in control panel are what you want. So what that means, is make certain that your computer isn't turning off if your battery is below 100%. You can set this type of stuff...check there first and make certain it isn't doing what is should be.

Let us know!

I looked at my settings and noticed in my advanced settings that there was a pop-up that said 'Require a password at wake-up'. There were two pop-ups underneath it saying 'On battery' and 'Plugged in'. Both were at yes. I tried to change it to see if it would do anything, but it was if it was locked. My battery conditions are also how they should be.
