Hi

I have a new WD passport and in the last week it has stopped being recognised on my computer. I have followed your other articles which advise I should go on device manager and uninstall any greyed out devices. There are no grey areas showing. I have also tried to update the WD firmware but the system is still not picking up the device. The device is working as the light comes on and I can hear the device making a noise

Please can you help

Thanks

Try this 1.

Check in the "Disk Management".

Click on Start --> In search bar, type diskmgmt.msc and press Enter.

"Disk Management" window will be opened. If you notice a partition without a

drive letter then right-click on it --> Select "Change Drive Letter and Paths..." -->

Click on "Add" button --> Add --> Select the drive letter --> Click on OK.

Good Luck
