Which is the best antivirus software?

I run Bitdefender for 3 years and when it became just that bit too expensive I looked around....I checked Avast Free addition and after unistalling Bitdefender there was a trail of viruses everywhere... No kidding checking " Task Manager" they were evenj in there... Avast cleaned and found many more and along with another free program I know feel confident that by simply being dilegent I can remain relatively free from viris' without the expensive annual fee...Try it its' good...

I have used Avast on all my laptops, netbooks for over 5 years... best one out there.. Norton and McAfee don't come close ...

For the last seven years i am using Avast and found it is far far better than any other AVS in the market either paid or free even Quick Heal /Kesperkey will not stand up to the mark.

This is absolutely necessary to have an antivirus to protect the system. But why use something else when windows already has one of the best antivirus. it has improved much from vista and Microsoft windows 7. The Windows Defender is light weight and does it work as well.
