check if the power cable and the data cable are no loosely fiited on both the ends

can u read the files fm the cd throught ur writer

in order to make sure that ur system still detects ur writer there are 2 ways 2 find out

1)

right click my computer
click the hardware tab
then
click the device manager
then on the list that populates the tab select DVD/CD/ rom drives
right click ur writer
click properties
make sure in the devive option drop down list
use this device (enable)
is selected

clik ok

2)

restart ur system go to the bios option
make sure ur cd device is there in the boot sequence

if problems still persist

then it time for ur rom replacement
