Windows movie maker - records video but does not record sound

Hi, I need help with the above software. Also, in my desparation I deleted the software and cannot find an adequate version (free) to download - not for lack of looking. Thanks.

So the title of your problem, and your problem look to be two different things; Please clarify as to what the problem actually is?

Sorry. I meant: I can capture a video (reading something) but cannot record my voice for some reason. Former video clips I made were fine. I hope the problem is clearer now.

Ok, so how are you making thw connection into the PC? Make certain your audio path (red and white cable) are connected also.

Or are you using the onboard camera? you mayu have to configure the audio source as your mic. Let us know how you are connecting if it is a machine, or with what you are capturing the video.

Ok, so have you told your software to use the microphone as your audio source.

thank you for trying. adter some 6 hours I managed to fixed the problems by myself.
