Linksys router doesn't recognize internet connection

Hi. So link sys is trying to charge me $30 for support so I figured I'd ask here first. I have Charter cable internet. My modem is working fine. I have an internet connection however my router says that it does not detect internet. I have updated the wireless router's firmware. Don't know what else to do. Please help. Thank you

Router hardware only lasts 4 to 5 years. Probably because it's left on 24 hours a day. I suggest you just buy a new router.
