I was running a windows cleaner, thinking that I was just thoroughly cleaning both iexplorer and google chrome browsers; Now in the start menu, none of my shortcuts work { music My documents, my Pictures ) then I right-clicked on the folders and " no properties ) then I tried windows explorer and a page with the folders come up but again, cannot be opened. They only open in the original location, and when I right click on them in their, no " pin to start option. I am running windows 7, 64-bit system. What do I do? Jennifer

Hello,
I believe that it was " Advanced Ininstall " because it has a lot of cleaning options so as not to be tracked etc; I run CCleaner as well, but when u click on something in it that might compromise the start menu history, u get pop up warnings; This time I ran IObits as well because of a generic trojan scare and message from my AVG, I was on a mission lol.

I suggest that you restore your system back to a date before you started to use all those cleaning tools, once you are done, return here if you get another trojan warning.

To restore:

Navigate to the Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools program group.

Click on the System Restore program icon.

Click Next > on the Restore system files and settings window.

Choose the restore point that you want to use.

Note: Check the Show more restore points checkbox to see more than the most recent restore points

Click Next >.

Click Finish on the Confirm your restore point window to begin the System Restore.

Note: Windows 7 will shut down to complete the System Restore so be sure to save any work you might have open in other programs before continuing.

Good luck
