My keyboard is typing the wrong letters!!

My computer was working just fine before I left for my vacation only 4 days ago, now I came back to find it typing the wrong letters completely! For example when I press A it types X and the J button turns my screen off! I saw some people saying to press numlock or ctrl+shift BUT I DON'T KNOW WHERE THEY ARE NOW! What should I do?? How do I fix this?? My laptop is a Dell studio 1557 running on Windows 8

Hi,

Try Hitting the NUM LK/SCRN LK key.
