I'm a student at EKU and I've been trying to hook up my PS3 to the internet for ages. I've tried wireless connections, wired connections..I've even tried switching between EKU's guest internet and student internet. Every time I'm trying to finalize the connection, the PSN check fails and I'm left sad and internet-less. Other students on campus have theirs hooked up so I know it's nothing to do with like, router settings or anything. I'm wondering if it's something with my PS3, although my freshman year I got it hooked up just fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I miss Netflix.

Check you router setting. It is more than likely only on the N setting, and it needs to be G as the PS3 has a G rated network device.

Look up the differences in Settings.
