Match value in 2 separate columns and return a value from a 3rd

Hello,

Here is my issue.

I have 2 worksheets within 1 workbook. I need to add a formula that will look at the value in sheet 1 column A and then look for a matching value in sheet 2 column A. If it finds a matching value in sheet 2 column A then it should return the value in sheet 2 column D for the row that contains the matching value.

Thank you so much for any assistance. I am really stuck on this one!!

The VLOOKUP formula will do the job for you.
