And if you tried to ending explorer, and then restart it (explorer.exe) ?
By the task manager of course.

Yes of course I did try and nothing happened or else I wouldn't have posted this ._.
The only thing i haven't tried is fixing it thru regedit, but in my friends opinion explorer seems to be corrupt and has to be repaired. Still looking for an alternate solution though

I just did. works okay now but i had to reset my data. it appeared suddenly btw and it seems its explorer that is corrupt
