Laptop won't boot after weird message

Hello,
My laptop was working perfect the night before, when I turned my laptop on this morning I got this weird error message that mentioned hardware and it forced a restart, , my pc then restarted and I got another message along the same lines, it was slightly different though. My laptop does power on, I can tell because the backlit keyboard is on, but the screen is completely black, I can't press f2 or f8 to access the boot menu. I'm stuck. The laptop is an Acer aspire v5.
