SONY FLASH DISC NOT ABLE TO FORMAT OR DELETE FILES.

Hi all,

I have a Sony flash disc (4 gb)which i was using to store music files. Suddenly when i connect it to my computer, a window pops up saying scan and fix recommended. On scanning it jumps to auto play. When i try opening the files, i only see a shortcut which does not open up even by double click or right click. When i try searching the files by name, am able to get them and even play the music files. My problem is, I can neither delete the files nor format the disc. What could be the problem. Please help. Thank you.
