I've "restored" my iPod 2nd generation several times and it syncs with my iMac iTunes just fine ... but the screen is blank. I really want to be able to use the Menu and see what's playing.

Bummer. Bought it around 2008 and ended up leaving it in a drawer for years once phones could hold more music.

Recently bought a very cool Philips clock radio iPod/iPhone dock and restored and sync-ed the iPod. It worked for a week or two then went blank.

Thinking of buying an old iPhone (3 or 4) with 16GB. Seems it will be far less than replacing the iPod.
